Corina Bennett, MS is the US Head of Programming within the Center for Observational Research at Amgen, where she is leading efforts to design and build forward-thinking, high-impact solutions to rapidly analyze large, complex databases, with an eye towards better understanding the real-world use and impact of medical products globally. She is a collaborator with the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) team, a group dedicated to creating open-source solutions that harmonize the underpinnings of observational research to promote rapid, comparable, and transparent real-world, large-scale analyses. Prior to her work with Amgen, she performed healthcare research and designed analytical tools to inform decision-making for government healthcare agencies, including US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Department of Justice (DOJ), and Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
Corina received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and her Master of Science in Epidemiology degree from the University of California, Davis. In addition to her research, she has also worked in a number of hands-on roles with patients, including designing and implementing an exercise program that could be completed while patients underwent dialysis at the San Luis Obispo Renal Care Center.
