Rimma Belenkaya, M.A., M.S.
Data Modeler/Knowledge Manager
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
I am a part of the Knowledge Management and Innovation team at the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Department of Health Informatics. I specialize in semantic and relational modeling of bio-medical information, data standardization, interoperability, and data quality assurance. I am leading an institutional program for the development and governance of the operational and quality metrics, including underlying data models and visualization. My other focus is on standardizing MSK research data using Semantic Web technologies.
My engagement with the OHDSI community started with the adoption of the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) for the PCORI-sponsored Clinical Data Research Network (CDRN) for consolidating and harmonizing patient records from multiple medical centers across the country for comparative effectiveness research. Results of this effort were presented at the 2015 AMIA Join Summits and 2015 OHDSI Symposium.
I continue my involvement with OHDSI by contributing to the OHDSI CDM and Vocabulary Workgroup.
I am also leading the OHDSI Oncology workgroup that aims to extend OHDSI CDM and vocabulary to represent oncology domain and support observational cancer research. All efforts of the workgroup are documented here: http://www.ohdsi.org/web/wiki/doku.php?id=projects:workgroups:oncology-sg.
