There is nothing quite like the OHDSI Global Symposium, a vibrant, mission-driven gathering that unites hundreds of collaborators from every corner of the globe. This isn’t just a conference; it’s a catalyst for global scientific impact, where a dedicated community generates the evidence necessary to transform health decisions and elevate patient care worldwide. We are thrilled to return to New Brunswick, N.J., for our most significant event of the year—a true celebration of open-science collaboration and collective discovery.

Registration and the call for participation are now OPEN for the 12th annual OHDSI Global Symposium, which will be held October 20-22 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick, N.J., USA. We are designing an immersive three-day experience that highlights the power of our network:

  • Oct. 20: Specialized tutorials to sharpen your skills and expand our collective expertise.
  • Oct. 21: High-impact plenaries and the celebrated Collaborator Showcase, featuring the latest breakthroughs from our community.
  • Oct. 22: Dynamic workgroup activities designed to solve real-world health challenges together.

Beyond the agenda, the symposium offers endless opportunities to network, share insights, and learn from the diverse perspectives that make OHDSI unique. And, as our veterans know well, you should always expect a bit of the unexpected!

Symposium Fees

Symposium Registration is open! 

Tuesday, October 20 through Thursday, October 22: Registration for Symposium Activities, *$500

Additional Tutorial Fees: Tuesday, October 20: $200 per tutorial

This year the community came together to suggest and implement (12) highly educational tutorial topics; there will be (6) morning tutorials from 8am-12pm and (6) afternoon tutorials from 1pm-5pm offered on Tuesday, Oct. 20th. Note: the Eventbrite tickets will reflect these options in a package price and tutorial tickets cannot be purchased separately. In addition, tutorial fees cannot be discounted or waived. Tutorial tickets will need to be shown on site at registration.

Symposium Registration Process

Register for the symposium: On the Eventbrite platform, you will purchase your ticket first and then fill out the registration form.

Order Confirmation: If you registered correctly, you receive two Eventbrite confirmations (one that confirms payment and one that confirms registration). If you did not register correctly, you will only receive a payment confirmation email that states “Get Tickets Now”.  You will then need to log back into Eventbrite and complete registration by answering the registration questions and clicking “Submit and Get Tickets”. If you do not complete the registration process, the system will not register your name and your seats will not be reserved.

If you are purchasing a ticket for someone else, please use the attendee’s name under the billing information and also on the registration form (please do not use your name).

Should you need to make changes or cancel your registration tickets, please follow the instructions you will receive on your Eventbrite confirmation upon registration completion. Please note that all registration tickets can be refunded up until 7 days prior to the event; Eventbrite fees are not refundable for any registration ticket.

Thursday, October 22nd: this year the OHDSI workgroup leads came together to host (16) morning sessions and (11) afternoon sessions; all workgroup sessions are included in the symposium fee, and you can choose up to 3 sessions to attend according to their schedules. This year, OHDSI is holding a small sleeping room block for the nights of Monday, Oct. 19, Tuesday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday. Oct. 21 with a special room rate of $199 plus taxes (extra fee for more than 2 people in a room). To help us in the planning process, we ask that you do not cancel your hotel room ordered through the OHDSI Room Block. If you must cancel, please do so by Monday, Sept. 21st, so that the room may go to someone who needs one. Once the room block is full, or if specific nights are sold out, you may make additional room reservations on the hotel’s website or by calling the hotel’s reservations number above.

Please note that all sleeping rooms in the OHDSI room block are on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, we recommend booking your hotel guestroom accommodation as soon as possible to ensure the discounted room rate.

The OHDSI room block is available now and is for guestroom dates between Oct. 19-22 (however there may be availability for shoulder dates). Should you need to arrive before October 19th or stay past October 22nd (and those dates are not available through the link), please book the 3 nights through the OHDSI room block below and make the additional room reservations on the hotel’s website; earlier and later room dates will be at the hotel’s prevailing rates. If you have multiple reservations, please inform the hotel upon check-in and they will link your reservations so you will not have to switch rooms during your stay.

Collaborate at the Symposium

In addition to tutorials taking place on October 20th, we have opportunities for the community to host collaboration activities from 8:00am-12:00pm. The space allotted for this collaboration is shared space in the Garden State Room and is not private. If you would like to host an activity at the symposium, please fill out this form.
