Weekly OHDSI Digest- Sept. 27, 2021

WEEKLY MEETINGS

Please join us Tuesday, Sept. 28 (11 am ET), as we introduce the community to the many workgroups available within OHDSI. Following community updates, we will re-open Gathertown so that you can visit each workgroup and learn more about what has been done, and what is currently being worked on. There will be workgroup leaders available to answer your questions, as well as videos and informational slides available to help you learn about what is happening.

Many of you will have the calendar link in your OHDSI Teams environment. If not, you will need the specific meeting link to access the community call; it will also be posted in the main OHDSI Teams environment. As always, if you can’t make it, the recordings will be posted to both our Community Calls page and the General OHDSI Teams recordings folder.

Registration is open for a two-day HL7 FHIR/OMOP Workshop this Wednesday-Thursday. Concepts that will be explored during the workshop include how to build the community and engage participants, reviewing near-term challenges regarding mapping and other issues, and working to establish a collaboration framework for moving forward, including setup of specific subgroups to advance individual use cases. Registration links are available here.

The 2021 APAC Symposium will be held Nov. 18 (APAC time zone). There are several planned talks during the full-day event, including ones focused on the FHIR/OHDSI collaboration, the APAC Chapter vision for 2022, the EHDEN consortium and state of the community talks for both the global community and the APAC community. Registration links and more details will be posted to OHDSI.org soon.
