2025 OHDSI Global Symposium

There is nothing quite like the OHDSI Global Symposium, which welcomes hundreds of collaborators around the world who believe in the shared mission of improving health by empowering a community to collaboratively generate the evidence that promotes better health decisions and better care. We can’t wait to return for our biggest event of the year this October in New Brunswick, N.J.

The 11th annual OHDSI Global Symposium will be held October 7-9 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick, N.J., USA.  We are planning another exciting three-day event, which will include multiple tutorials (Oct. 7), plenaries and the collaborator showcase (Oct. 8), workgroup activities (Oct. 9) and plenty of opportunities to share, network and learn from each other. As anybody who has ever been to an OHDSI Symposium knows, you can probably expect a bit of the unexpected as well.

Symposium & Tutorial Registration Fees

Tuesday, October 7 through Thursday, October 9: Registration for Symposium Activities, *$500

Additional Tutorial Fees: Tuesday, October 7: Introduction to OHDSI tutorial, 8am-12pm, $100; Advanced tutorials, 1pm-5pm, $200

Note: the Eventbrite tickets will reflect these options in a package price and tutorial tickets cannot be purchased separately.

*this is an open and inclusive event; if the symposium registration fee presents a burden for you, please email symposium@ohdsi.org and request a discounted or free ticket.

Should you need to make changes or cancel your registration tickets, please follow the instructions you will receive on your Eventbrite confirmation upon registration completion. Please note that all registration tickets can be refunded up until 7 days prior to the event; Eventbrite fees are not refundable for any registration ticket.

Please note: There is a change in the Eventbrite order process. You will purchase your ticket first and then fill out the registration form. If you registered correctly, you will receive two Eventbrite confirmations (one that states payment was received and one that is the actual registration confirmation). If you did not register correctly, you will receive a payment confirmation email only. You will then need to log back into Eventbrite and complete registration by answering the registration questions and clicking “Complete Order” or “Submit and Get Tickets” . If your registration is complete, the email confirmation will state “Go to My Tickets,” and if you did not register correctly, the email will state “Get Tickets Now”. Your seats will not be reserved unless you have completed the registration process and have been issued tickets.

This year, OHDSI is holding a small sleeping room block for the nights of Monday, Oct. 6, Tuesday, Oct. 7, and Wednesday. Oct. 8 with a special room rate of $199 plus taxes (extra fee for more than 2 people in a room). To help us in the planning process, we ask that you do not cancel your hotel room ordered through the OHDSI Room Block. If you must cancel, please do so by Monday, Sept. 15, so that the room may go to someone who needs one. Once the room block is full, or if specific nights are sold out, you may make additional room reservations on the hotel’s website or by calling the hotel’s reservations number above.

Please note that all sleeping rooms in the OHDSI room block are on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, we recommend making your hotel guestroom accommodation as soon as possible to ensure the discounted room rate.

The OHDSI room block below is for guestroom dates between Oct. 6-8. Should you need to arrive before October 6th or stay past October 8th, please book the 3 nights through the OHDSI room block below and make the additional room reservations on the hotel’s website; earlier and later room dates will be at the hotel’s prevailing rates. If you have multiple reservations, please inform the hotel upon check-in and they will link your reservations so you will not have to switch rooms during your stay.

Collaborator Showcase

OHDSI’s achievements over the last decade would not be possible if not for the cutting-edge and collaborative global research ongoing in our community. Our annual Global Symposium showcase provides our collaborators the opportunity to share their work, learn what else is happening, and potential find new pathways and collaborators for future research.  Please visit our 2025 Collaborator Showcase homepage if you are interested in taking part this year.

The 2025 brief report submission form is below. In order to access the form, you must have a Google account. Please click this link to create a Google account and then return to fill out the submission form.

Important Dates:

all submissions are due no later than 8:00pm ET on Tuesday, July 1.
all submissions will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Review Committee between July 1-August 14.
If you have been selected to present your work at the 2025 collaborator showcase, you will be notified via email by Wed., August 20.

Collaborate at the Symposium

In addition to tutorials taking place on October 7, we have opportunities for the community to host collaboration activities from 8:00am-12:00pm. The space allotted for this collaboration is shared space in the Ballroom and is not private. If you would like to host an activity at the symposium, please fill out this form.
