Justin Petucci
CTSI Informatics Core Scientist
Penn State University
Justin Petucci is an experienced researcher and innovator affiliated with the RISE (Research Innovation with Scientists and Engineers) Division at Pennsylvania State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Denver, where his research focused on computational solid-state physics. He has since translated this expertise into biomedical research, applying machine learning techniques to develop biophysical models and analyze electronic health record (EHR) data. In addition to numerous publications in basic science, has collaborated extensively with clinicians and scientists, resulting in several high-impact clinical studies. Notably, he co-authored a study of over 85,000 patients that used machine learning to predict seizure risk following intracerebral hemorrhage, published in Epilepsy & Behavior.
